I think God helps us parents who have a hard time with our children's milestones. (I almost cried when Sydney turned 1 month old.)
And then when Sydney was just about to start crawling, the few days before she was getting so frustrated with herself that she really wasn't that pleasant to be around. Finally, it was like, "just crawl all ready!" John and I were getting down and trying to show her. When she did start to become mobile, she settled down again and all was well.
About a month ago, she started to show signs of teething. And I thought, "no, I love her gummy smile, she can't get teeth." Well, then she proceeded to get about every symptom possible:
fussiness
fever
diarrhea
chewing
... and even an ear infection.
So I guess I see all this as God preparing me and encouraging me to want her to have teeth, because now that this has gone on for a month, I just want those dang teeth to come in so we can all get a good night sleep!

Poor Sydney! I hope those teeth leave her alone for her birthday! (Happy actual birthday, by the way, Sydney!)
