Spain

We finally made it across the big pond, to Rota, Spain. We arrived Thursday evening after a series of cancelled and delayed flights. Sorry I have no pictures right now, I'll get caught up on that later I guess.

Friday we took a ferry over to Cadiz and spent to day touring cathedrals, walking the streets and a little time on the beach.

Saturday we rented a car and heading to Sevilla. We toured the main cathedral there, toured the palace and took a look at the bull-fighting stadium (no bull fight though). In the evening we headed to Granada where we stayed the night (well actually the morning).

Sunday we toured the great fortress of Alhambra. Quite an amazing sight, you could probably spend an entire day there and still not see it all. After that we headed towards the coast to get back to Rota. We rolled in at about 1 am and crashed at a hotel.

Today we are having a much needed health day at the beach. Tomorrow we are planning to catch a flight to Naples where
John has a friend that is stationed there. From there we will try and hit Rome and maybe take a train to the Cinque Terra.

Sydney is being quite the trooper, aside from being sleep deprived, the only thing that seems to bother her is the heat. But can you blame her, she was born in Alaska!

Hooray! You are sure making the most of a shortened version of your Europe adventure! We have special memories of the places you've been already. Praying for you. Keep your parents in good spirits, Sydney!
