15 Weeks

So I have to be honest and tell you all that I got this cute idea for tracking my pregnancy from a friend of a friend's blog. If you ever read this "friend," thank you for the idea!

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 15 weeks

Size of Baby: 4 in. crown to rump, 2.5 oz. about the size of an apple

Total Weight Gain: 6 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: Not yet, but I'm no longer able to button my pants, this belly band thing is great to cover up the unbuttoned pants, but I can't keep the back of my pants from sliding down! Does anyone have any tricks?

Gender: Unknown

Food Cravings: Top Ramen of all things! I try to curb this one since Top Ramen really isn't that healthy. Also cheese

What I miss: Not sure about this one, sometimes I miss bodily functions working normally

Sleep: pretty good so far, but starting to have a hard time getting comfortable at night!

Symptoms: I think I skated through the morning sickness with relative ease. I just get winded easily and I'm hungry, A LOT!

Best Moment of the Week: My belly started pouching, and not just because I was bloated.

What I'm Looking Forward to: The baby getting bigger and being able to feel him/her.

Yay! I hope you keep doing this. ;) Just teasing you, of course. No answers on the pants thing other than I just started wearing maternity pants/shorts. I bought some that just had the stretchy elastic top, not the full panel that goes over your belly. Although I did start wearing the full panel ones as soon as they'd stay up. I loved the ones from motherhood maternity...they fit me well. I know girls who go the whole pregnancy with regular jeans but I hated having them fall down in the back. Pretty soon your belly will be bigger and it won't be an issue! :)

For the pants thing, I thought it was helpful to keep them unbuttoned, but thread a hairband through the buttonhole, not necessarily to make it tighter but it just sort of makes it "grab" the tummy a little more. But yeah, like Julie said, the maternity pants with the elastic waistband are the best... and ones with the full panel will be quite comfy when you're further along (those elastic band ones eventually got too small.. but they are then fantastic again for the post-partum time!!).
