Because, really, when you look outside and see THIS, you really just can't believe that it's April. Yes, I woke up this morning to 3 inches of fresh snow, not to mention the 2 feet of snow that was doing a pretty good job of melting until today! And then the falling snow preceded to continue through this afternoon and has finally stopped at about 7:30 pm! I don't really think it's the long dark days of Alaska that are depressing, it's the fact that sometimes you really feel like you live in Forever Winter.

Since your sister had 6 inches in Butte yesterday, you are probably just trying make her feel better. :) Close your eyes and see spring. It IS coming even to Alaska. BTW We have (again) postponed our trip to Anchorage. Now September!
